A hard week's weekend
A summary of a busy week, what is coming next week and some Friday haikus
This week was intense:
It started with the publication of the first official series of
Part 1 - What is Kanban and why it’s a good fit for HR
Part 2 - How to use Kanban in HR, and some examples & case studies
Part 3 - Risks and challenges, and some further learning resources
Then, it was NYC. Traveling to the city is always a pleasure (and a challenge to recover from). First, a Happy Hour with my friends from Latinx Professionals in the heart of El Barrio.
Then, a packed full day of Product Management learning at the INDUSTRY Conference, where I learned from some of the brightest minds in the field.
I loved the presentation “Killing your Product” by Stephanie Musat and it got me thinking about how HR kills its products, and the one by Christine Itawaru on the impact of bias in Product Management). But all of the talks were valuable, and I got a lot of notes and ideas.
But those ideas (e.g. “Using A/B Testing in HR”, and “Using the Kano model in HR”, and a few others) will need to wait for next weeks because it was all exhausting, and all I have for you today are a couple of haikus:
Empty inbox waits, No words sent from pen to page, Silence echoes loud. Heavy eyes and mind, Words elude my tired brain's grasp, Sleep beckons me near.
Not too bad, ChatGPT, not too bad…
Have a great weekend and enjoy the Spring that finally is here!
